USA and China agree to 90-day pause on 'reciprocal' tariffs. Does this affect antimony. My short answer is No. My long answer Is not in a million years. Antimony is a special metal where the market dynamics are incredibly unbalanced without a coherent and safe alternative supply. Even China is running out of antimony themselves with most of the major mines depleted or near depletion.
China decided to restrict the export of Antimony late last year under the Biden administration, this was not a targeted move but rather prioritising their own national security over other nations. The tariff war was started under th e trump administration which lead to further restrictions and higher Tariffs. Hence my view that Antimony has no relation with the ongoing Tariff war between USA and China.
There is a comprehensible supply deficit, crunched by overwhelming demand most of which is not modelled into the supply/demand chart, and most supply/demand chart don't factor in the export restrictions by China.
