According to the China Automotive Industry Association, from January to August, the new energy automobile production and sales 258 000 and 245 000, an increase of 111% and 115.6%. Wherein the pure electric car sales 194 000 and 181 000, an increase of 145.5% and 147.4%; plug-in hybrid sales were 64,000, an increase of 48.2% and 58.1%, respectively.
perhaps this is why china wants NTUs dysprosium - they can see the explosive demand being generated by the continued expansion of the electric vehicle market
