I guess British rule was better than subsequent Indian governments. Black laws of British times became more cruel under current India. Just watched horrible images of treatment of workers of poor state of UP in relatively richer states in Gujarat and Maharashtra. It is cruel. Poor workers are walking hundreds of KMs to reach home. People are killed for eating cow meat. Genocide of minorities is everyday normal. Rapists and terrorists are ministers in Indian governments. People are slapped with National Security Act and are sent to prison if they raise voice or show any kind of disagreement with government. Judiciary takes about 25 years to decide false cases slapped by law enforcement authorities only to find next day, they have been implicated in few more false cases.
