The cost will be much more than financial if China is allowed to bully its way in negotiations.
I would rather Australia not trade at all with China however if the rest of the world including the USA does then that puts us at a huge economic disadvantage. We need to leverage our relationship more with the USA . I would rather be their little brother than any of the Asian countries.
When you have China simply trying to use might to hide from the truth it shows the true character of the country imo. What is being asked of them by the world should not be unacceptable and the more they hide the more suspicions grow. Saddam Hussain tried that and it didn't work out that well for him or his country.
