If Obama is so concerned with access to a reliable supply of rare earths, he should forget about harrassing China and instead pressure the Malaysia government into making Lynas LAMP ramp-up as smooth as possible.
We are happy to sell the Americans all the rare earths they want in a couple of months (at the right price of course) :-D
