I think counterfeit products or product tampering in China will always be an issue. An organization I used to work for had to incorporate RFID technology in their durable goods and for bulk packaged goods (similar to ATM IF) tamper-proof packaging that was difficult to counterfeit was used. Holographic labeling and other technologies are difficult to spoof but criminals are clever and can figure out a way around just about anything. When ATM management addressed this topic on Tuesday I came away with the impression that they are on top of this concern and are taking positive steps to continue to address this area. Again, confirmation to me that this management team to world class!
