with the 10 years period(to 2010) of a full monopoly by China's exports in the international RE market, Lynas's basket price had never been more than 20, even China has also reviewed as loss more than benefit, wasted of resources, increased pollution of environmental.
RE prices always be the game of demand with supply, that is a commercial war. if possible, China certainly hope that rare earth price would rise above 100 and more(basket price), when all supply sides are happy to meet that but this will be the nightmare of demand sides, especially Japan.
in fact, compare to Lynas, China has more focused on increasing domestic's demand for rare earths (now approximately 80000T) even can abandon the international RE market and only just rely on the domestic market to survive, but Lynas absolutely can't, So Lynas's real competitors in the furure that are not only China, there are those of increased the Capacity, more cheaper production costs and flooding same products(light rare earth)--- the United States, India, Vietnam and others.
