The price of thermal coal since the China Trade war is your answer mate.
Sure there are ships loaded with Met coal bound for China being laded at Aussie ports as there
are ships with Iron Ore being leaded for China. We are supporting China's economic recovery
from Covid and defacto supporting their BRI (steel 7 concrete) .

When it comes to our policy/attitude towards China. its as coherent as a mad woman breakfast IMO.

Perhaps come the next election we will get more Independents who will put Australia First rather
    than their own hip pockets?

Also the Senate should act as a States' house of legislative review to ensure that all States
are getting a fair share of revenue and not (as it is) another political squabble chamber.

Personally I wont vote for any of the major parties because they have either instigated
the China trade war or simply sat on their hands and let it happen without 'Plan B"

This gung-ho type of political management is abhorrent IMO, and damages our long term
    economic development.

How silly is it to "shit in the Chinese Nest" and then expect a 3rd world country like India
who can't properly deal with Covid to bale us out in the longer term by buying our iron ore,
    coal, LNG etc?

Maybe Bangladesh will come to our bloody rescue...eh?
They badly need Lobsters & Red Wine and a shitload of barley to brew beer!
