People can make money but if you buy the stock at the high point and then wait for the recovery to happen. This may take 7-12 years and you have to beat inflation during the time.
The Tech recession was a different kind of recession and boom and bust I can talk about it in forum but in a nutshell -- it to do with technology and supply and demand of the y2 bug ".
Don’t forget the 1987 crisis was more to do with Asia .. and Asia export it way out of trouble. This is a world wide recession that effecting all sectors and region. No region or sector can export and buy it way out of trouble currently.
I am not doom and gloom, I am now starting to invest a lot of my cash in the next 2-3 months into the stock market again.
