the messages out of china are pretty clear!
i dont know if most of you are aware (havnt seen anyone talking about i) but the whole town of Pingdu has been shut down for 6 months till end june.
for those who are not aware, Pingdu supplies about 20% of the chinese market for graphite.
the closures are touted as the strichest environmental ruling in chinese history...seems more like the chinese are boosting prices like the rare earth days.
This is why you have seen a lot of activity in graphite stocks since mid december.
