Li Keqiang has said that China's GDP figures are man made and not reliable. They should only be used for reference purposes.

China's growth has been achieved by building empty malls, apartments and houses, all serviced by unused roads with empty museums and libraries.

Build a new tower block - increase GDP by $200m. Knock it down and build another, bigger one for $300m. GDP has now increased by $500m!! And that's calculating it properly.
