Gassed, I admire your optimistic viewpoint.Its funny how we all read different things into the same statement.It is clear that the Chinese not only want more time to "get approvals" but also to continue/finish negotiations. It begs the question as to what they have been doing for the last few months.There is a good chance that ICN are being used and played for suckers, much like Santos did to them a few years ago by pulling out of a farmin well at the last minute.I have seen all these signs before.
The Chinese would be negligent if they werent talking to or putting feelers out to other potential LNG suppliers,......companies that actually have reserves.
I remain firmly in the pessimists camp at this stage.
If by some million to one shot ICN pull it off and get a GSA signed and eventually get some reserves, then all you ICN holders deserve the big payday.It is a close call right now whether a lotto ticket offers better odds.
