My mate used to import steel from China. Had that much trouble with the quality of the steel and the galvanising that he ended up buying from Taiwan. Same price better quality. Same can be said for furniture, Vietnam is better than Chinese for the same price. Cambodian clothing is better than Chinese. It pays to shop around. Bunnings stock is all held on consignment. They pay nothing for it until it is sold. They rely on the manufacturer for guaranteeing the product under Australian law. It is successful for its business model, not what it sells.
