I expect the current climate suits some - "time" will tell which side of the ledger was on the money!
Did anyone read Bolts article the other day on renewables!
In my opinion, gas looks like the transition fuel we will need/use - it's just a matter of time, those closest to the pipeline feed will benefit first I expect - idle export trains, this has to be a sizeable opportunity cost when reserves just need to be tapped in - the cost of a pipeline I'd expect would be minimal compared to amount of capital being left idle in the mean-time.
I can't comprehend why there is not a lot more being said about Gas in the media/govt./industry specialists as a favored transition fuel to renewables?
