China, India lead thermal coal growth, prices to remain high


PERTH (miningweekly.com) – “Exponential” growth in demand for seaborne thermal coal over the next two decades, led by power-hungry China and India, would lead to a major expansion in global thermal coal trade, research and consulting firm Wood Mackenzie (Woodmac) coal market analyst Prakash Sharma said on Wednesday.
