Hairyback - By your logic you would have abandoned the AFR ship when they released their Quarterly Report on 29 October last year. Not exactly cash flow positive, and no profit. Closing price that day 28c. Reached $1 in Feb, and currently 71c.
CCC like so many companies on the ASX are exploring/expanding/growing but unlike so many others are doing so at the same time as having producing mines generating income. If I open a small business I don't necessarily need to be making a substantial profit in my growth phase, but I do need income. Domestic coal margins may be small, but it is all income.
Abandon CCC at this stage if you want to, but perhaps the first 2012 quarterly would be a better time to decide whether CCCs growth strategy has succeeded or not?
