We have seen China taking strategic stakes in a number of ASX listed iron ore majors and juniors. It would not surprise in th enext 6 months to see China popping up on a number of ASX listed gold companies. It is almost impossible to buy bullion in vast quantity at present without pressuring on the price but buying a strategic stake in selective gold companies will not present the same supply problem.
