As I know, Trump is damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t. Had he invoked that act immediately, the media would’ve called him a dictator. However, Trump has not had to because companies willingly put their hands up to help and getting private companies and CEOs involved was something that Trump adopted very early.
The media new this and new companies were willingly participants but it didn’t stop the media nor the dems from calling for Trump to use the defence production act. Now that he has called it, the media and dems will prob call him a dictator now.
