Unless I misread it, the quote you are criticising is a description of what should be the case. Clearly not happening in China.
The negative review of Zeihan is interesting but not related to the 3 articles in question. I found them to be plausible and very well written. I remain sceptical but welcome different opinions about probably the most disruptive events in the world in my lifetime.
