This is just China's version of GPS.
A security monitoring system needs a secure data communications network to report iformation back to a monitoring station.
This navagation system only reports the position, no data is relayed back. i.e. it's only one way.
One of the advantages of the Quiktrak system is the reporting of no only positioning information, but relaying data back securely to the monitoring station.
Also, one of the disadvantages of a satellite navigation system is that it cannot penetrate into buildings, tunnels etc, which the Quiktrak system can.
So I don't see this, or any other satellite navigation system such as GPS or GLONASS, as being a threat to Quiktrak's network.
