The growing danger of war is not from China. It is from the US which views China as a much too successful capitalist competitor.
The US is solely motivated by it's economic and strategic interests and is not the slightest bit concerned for democracy in Taiwan or anywhere else. They won't hesitate to see Taiwan , China, the Asia Pacific, Australia and ten or twenty US cities annihilated in a nuclear holocaust if China does not submit to it's demands.
ps. Just on Taiwan. The US has an agreement with China, to recognise Taiwan as a province of China. If the US break that agreement then they risk provoking a war, not China.
