So the "underlying trend of history" and "embrace the trend of times" is to quietly accept China's forced assimilation/reeducation of minorities/ dissidents, impending annexation of Taiwan and encroachment on more areas of the Pacific Ocean. Keeping silent on these activities is China's idea of promoting regional peace, stability and development.
