How do you think any other country would react if other countries wanted to commence an investigation without invitation?
Any larger country would react pretty much the same.
I've no idea what did or didn't happen but I can see that anything coming out of the US (and the little brother Australia) in the next few months is more about US domestic politics than a desire to actually prove or disprove anything
