China seems to be getting on top of Corona virus, at least the numbers look like it. The market sentiment will hit Costa (and most stocks) short term but the fundamentals look good in China.
In the AFR today:
Costa Group says there's been a lift in demand for its blueberries in China in the past week as more retail outlets return to normal amid the coronavirus outbreak, and prices keep improving in Australia for berries and mushrooms.Chief executive Harry Debney said while the fruit and vegetable grower, which has a 237-hectare blueberry farm in south-west China, is closely monitoring its operations ahead of the peak harvesting season from March to May, its activities have not been curtailed by China's efforts to combat the outbreak."In the last eight days we've had a big uptick in demand,'' Mr Debney said."So far we've got access to all our markets,'' he said. More retailers were back to full trading and orders had jumped.
