    elguido, I am just going by the post-olympics slowdown experienced by predecessors. Sure factories in China closed over fog or smog concerns and their would be alot of factory owners over their not happy.

    I am a believer of the BRIC story mainly because the "credit crisis" conundrum should be domestically limited, most of the money spent by locals are from personal savings and not 'borrowed', something we westerners just cannot fathom! i.e. they buy homes and cars with 'personal savings', but how long can this last without the global slowdown precipitating their economy - nothing is created in a vacuum.

    You will note I do not say they will slowdown, merely interested in what people think, best I could do is it might be temporary ..

    I still can't believe these guys can spend $40bn for 2 weeks, while they make us believe the people are rising up from the economic margins, makes you wander what they have under their sleeves
