China’s imports of uranium are expected to rise sharply in the next few years as it rolls out of the world’s most ambitious nuclear development program. There are more than 38 nuclear power stations under development or consideration and last year the government approved a plan to increase nuclear generation to nearly 60 gigawatts of installed nuclear capacity by 2020, up from 15.69GW now.
