You only have to ask the Chinese villagers if they support the current regime, and the answer will be in the majority a yes. I had stated before, to understand China, you need to compare her present to her past (the past involved a lot of famines, chaos, being bullied by the Europeans, I bet many still remember "Chinese and dog cannot enter" sign in their own land on properties owned by foreigners, etc etc). This is where some so-called "China experts" failed in their analysis of Chinese affairs, as they applied Western ideology to China without a good understanding of Chinese history and traditions, for example in the areas of "human rights" and "democracy".

Many Chinese families don't have to worry where or how they are going to put foods on the family table every night. By Western standards, Chinese quality is no comparison to what we have in the West, but if you compare what they do have now to what they did not have before, then you will begin to understand why the majority of the Chinese people support the disciplined nature of Chinese government.

Don't believe everything you see on the internet, it represents just a small minority view. Remember this: China has more than 1 billion people.
