If the 10% US tarrifs on China become a fixed feature of US policy, and the Tungsten export restriction to the US remain, world Tungsten prices could easily double even before stocks run out. You can't remove 50 to 90% of a commonly used essential mineral from the supply chain and not expect something to break badly upwards.
This will necessitate Government fast tracking and FUNDING of Tungsten projects in Western jurisdictions, just as they have done for rare earth's, Lynas etc.
I'll be reporting on the price of Tungsten over the following days & weeks.
Also talking with Andrew over the weekend of ensuring with our JV partner we are forward and centre in the minds of State and Federal mining and minerals ministers.
