From a purely economic point of view, the GFC started on Wall St & was caused by lax US Government housing programs and lax SEC supervision
but we didn't attack Uncle Sam for that. Instead we listed The Commonwealth Of Australia & its Assets with the US SEC as a sueable entity in the USA.
