    it's true that someone had to break rank first and open up. yet the consequences of peoples' lives/deaths were real as.

    in terms of infection control, the lockdowns were necessary. Gladys was always weighing the business interests against the medical opinion.... both sides of the equation had valid points, but imo, infection control had to come first as businesses can;'t survive a pandemic that disables or kills so many so quickly..... in the end she made the choice after pussyfooting and allowed the virus out of control.

    it is what it is.... now every state has aged care units having a higher rate of turnover.... so its good for their businesses too. too bad for the grieving families.

    on the other hand, we spend too much time and effort keeping people alive at any cost for so much longer than a natural lifespan would dictate..... and then I'm grateful for medical advances when I had my first heart attack some 3 years ago. c'est la vie.
