China may very well declare transactions as illegal - but I can't understand what they mean at any level of basic depth. However I am pretty sure if AB1 was listed only on the Hong Kong exchange I would sell them pretty quickly as the sovereign risk would be too high. (1. Politically Hong Kong is unstable, 2. there could be declaration that AB1's activities are illegal).
