"Chinese official calls U.S. rare earth reserves data wrong, Global Times says
An official with China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said its survey indicates that China's rare earth reserves totaled 18.59M tonnes in 2009, or 23% of the world's total, which is a lower total than the 36M tonnes, or 36% of the global total, estimated by the United States Geographical Survey, reported Global Times."
Hopefully rare earths are coming back in fashion.
