NB: New Zealand, which is part of the US 5 Eyes Project has signed up to te BRI.

Most of our FTA partners have also signed up:
    -Chile
    -Indonesia (prospective)
    -Korea
    -Malaysia
-New Zealand ( The Kiwi's have not been booted out of the 5 Eyes Program by the USA yet)
-Singapore (our price of petrol is dependant of Singaporean wholesale prices)
-Thailand ( a considerable number of our light commercial & 4x4s come from Thailand)

Over time, the USA will likely put pressure on us to drop these FTAs , IMO,
if the USA wants to economically isolate/decouple from China and this should be
of concern to Aus now; not later

PS: I know that our Government regards economic planning as "Socialist" to be inline with the USA, thereby following
the Market which in our case is dominated by foreign Multinationals.
IMO, we should be planning a decoupling from China now; not at the last minute and at the US' beck & call when
it would take a decade to rejig our exports/imports. In short we need "Plan B" (call it Plan C) now.

This is why I'm advocating a plan to process our minerals. diversify trade away fron China and to be economically
independant to benefit all Aussies; not just a few.

The Chinese "experiment", nevertheless, is amazing in that it has industrialised the country within a generation
(it took Great Britian 300 years & the USA 200 years) and that now it is empire building via a peaceful
economic program called One Belt One Road ( BRI) (others historically have built empires by force)

The cool aid test is will China be capable of building the empire or will it be "a flash on the pan"
At present the indicators trend towards the former.

Moorookamick : Putting Australia First----not China and not the USA.
