If the US manufacturers and exports so much then why are they up to their eyeballs in debt and still priniting.
You have named but only a small numner of exporters in your post. What do the Americans produce that is cheaper than goods which are made in Asia and in China?
Cars? Electronics? the list goes on.
I do read the Economist from time to time, don't think much of it to be peferectly honest.
