i dare say you are correct. same with egypt. the jews were held in captivity for 70 years and then told to go home however many had become very comfortable and in a stockholm syndrome type of way, stayed where they have a reasonable strong presence today. funny but they were never really kicked out like some other countries. i think there is one or two jews in parliament there as well.
