I believe the chinese are probably the smartest, most intelligent of all out there today....but the idiots saying china would be immune from this meltdown have ni....even the most simple person would know china invests worldwide....and they are big gamblers...so how could china be immune....now the truth is coming out...only 2 trillion at risk in the US...i doubt it...more like 20 trillion.....
only when china started to slow down delivery of iron....did anyone really take notice....
the best thing that news did was make our govt wake up and stop the nonsense about australia being immune from the crisis
similar with our banks...you can tell me 1000 times the banks are safe....except when people started pulling their money out...krudd panicked....
article today states the banks only hold about 10% in cash...so a little run can dry it up very quickly...
there were conflicting stories...too much to cover here...
look at brumby in vic...still holding onto 10.5 billion since 2006 that was promised for roads, rail etc...barely 2% spent so far....
send the chinese over here to show them how to do it...today qld premier bligh is not going ahead with a 1.5 billion deal...blames the credit crisis.....
what do people think when they hear to govt intending to use the superfund money to spend on infrastructure ???
I think there will be a run on superfunds.....people do not trust the state govts to do anything
    cheers
