It may not be about their current holdings but more about their future holdings. Whilst they can't exit current holdings would they continue to build $US dollar reserves or gold going forward? Chinese aware of the attraction of gold & will continue to build their reserves of gold. Chinese will use their funds to acquire all forms of hard assets including commodities at the expense of paper assets in the future.
