China Registration for TruScreen® completed
The Board of Polartechnics Limited ("PLT") is pleased to announce that the State Food and Drug Agency (China) yesterday issued the Registration Certificate approving the
use of TruScreen in China.
On the 19 July 2006, PLT announced the appointment of its lead distributor for the Chinese market together with a minimum sales commitment of approximately A$15 million in the first full year following product registration. PLT is now in discussions with its Chinese distribution partners to confirm arrangements for the commencement of TruScreen shipments to China. Due to the sheer size of the Chinese market and the relative cost of manufacture incountry,PLT has also commenced discussions with its Chinese counterparts to establish an in-country production for the TruScreen consumable, Single Use Sensor("SUS"). This additional capacity will compliment the existing production facility in Sydney.
