A couple more thoughts about how crypto might or might not fit in the future.

Crypto is a revolt against the past - globalist bankers and their neverending fees - but also preparation for the future. It's off the grid finance, in the way that renewables and storage gives off the grid electricity. But in decades to come we will go more radically off the grid.

Guys like Musk have tried to solve the problems of moving off planet by developing rockets (SpaceX), electric vehicles (Tesla) and electronic payment (PayPal). And those companies had to make megabucks to pay for his retirement on Mars. So Musk, thinking like an engineer solving problems, radically changed the world's technologies so he could move off-planet, and became one of the richest men so he could afford to do it.

Now that's not science fiction. That happened, and continues to happen. But what about interplanetary commerce and governance? Blockchain currency and transfer might give financial security, and blockchain encrypted communication might give privacy. From an engineering standpoint, it may be a key tech, or more effort than its worth. Musk seems to have been in two minds about it for a while.

On this stock forum there are spirited arguments by us older folk about the 1920s tech of coal powered electricity being the future. But the future is being shaped right now in ways we struggle to comprehend.

If we don't understand things, maybe it's not a scam. Maybe sometimes it's a personal challenge to be more curious about what is happening in the world.
