Hey @moondoong... surely you must realise that Aus is a tiny country with a tiny economy that is dependent on Chinese buying our resources.

What does the story link have to do with iron ore/coal? They've already announced they won't be buying Aus coal with their preference to use their own coal ... unless of course the coal comes from the mines they've been busy buying in Aus and shipped via the ports they now have leases over, such as Newcastle.

Incidently it was Morrison who orchestrated the NSW Govt lease to the Chinese state owned company!!! So much for his grandstand announcement that he was going to kick out the something like 400,000 deal the Lib Govts have pushed the universities and states to do with China - any resistance to these deals has been branded as sinophobic...

Now apart from the Morrison rhetoric, what else should Aus do to combat/fight China... the Lib Govt stance has been well-noted in China... it was in response to Lib Govt stance that China is now rejecting our barley, wheat, wine and soon to be our iron ore once Brazil gets on its feet again.

Should we fight against ourselves? as its Aus that has picked the fight (under instruction from Trump).

Dear me moonie... it doesn't look like you've been keeping up with the news... or you've been ignoring the Lib Govt news that incriminates them.

Did you note the 7% fall in GDP? This could have been avoided by following Philip Lowe's suggestion almost 2 years ago now that the Govt go hard on infrastructure spending ... our economic position would have been more stable with higher wages too and all the disaster that Jobkeeper has become... that has gone into company profits. That money might not have been needed to be borrowed and spent had they acted earlier to prevent our economic decline.

    cheers Scott.
