I see the thread has descended into, well, what could only be expected. If war does begin between America and China, one should ask, if the Americans couldn’t beat Vietnam, that’s under 100 million population, how in the name of God could they beat China. We should also take into consideration that CHINA is not Vietnam. China will be mates with Russia, China will have access to hypersonic missiles. Missiles which can hit Australia and are undetectable, even by the Americans. Australia should think about that. China might be reluctant to fire some missiles at America, but boy, a little vassal state to the south would be a really interesting place to send a message, the perfect example. Personally, I’d start being nice to China. And considering that CHINA is probably not going to directly attack America, and that it would be America who would be interfering in CHINA’s backyard which would create the trouble, I would probably distance myself from America in it. Unless we like to see smoke rising over Sydney.

I don’t think anyone should be worried about any nation ganging up with Russia. Recent developments have demonstrated those guys couldn’t aim a football pitch and hit it with their missiles for a start. Then considering The USA spends more money militarily than the next ten countries combined, China is not a threat. Not for the next few decades.
