The controversy/ Sinophobia coming out this early morning is truly concerning on a couple of HC threads of which I know. The P.R.C.'s suspension of CDC has clearly hit a raw nerve amongst some posters/ mods and brought out the old white Australia/ Immigration Restriction Act issues again. There are clearly a lot of issues concerning race, ethnicity, trade relationship trust issues in Australia still yet to be resolved but to be fair, the GOP's Trump Campaign has some similarities to the ongoing problems in Australia re the P.R.C.
Given the Sinophobia, there are obviously still issues between Australia's predominantly Caucasian immigrant community and its Asian neighbors.
I think AHF is best focused on Coles and WOW and lobbying to have the P.R.C. decision overturned. The Australia/ P.R.C. Free Trade Agreement clearly has a long way before anything is close to being practical. AHF needs to be safe and solid in the homeland before delving into the hinterland.
