Interesting perspective -- not original as it parrots the recent propaganda -- but interesting that so many are buying the idea that China has suddenly become what it has historically not been. Time will tell, but at this point it appears as though it is the west being the aggressor so from a Chinese perspective, they have a barking dog in Australia on their doorstep. Barking dogs can be a real nuisance, if they start to nip there is a chance they will cop a swift kick in retaliation.
