Are you saying Putin shares the same values as the G7 block of nations? UK and Ukraine may disagree nor does Canada. Oz has some collateral damage from the MH shoot down but relationships and values are elastic in nature based on 'national interest'.
The more important Q besides national interest are democratic institutions and freedom of expressions both o which are difficult to muster from Russia and China so I am not sure how the West can spin this in a consistent manner. If comparing India-Kashmir aka religious conflict is any different to China-Xinjiang with the same religious conflict, I am beginning to understand how justifications can be an excuse because of shifting global events.
