errr sorry but we are not the "asset owner". The real owner is the government of Congo whom issued the license not under the "forever term". Do you think the government would just let anyone took a license,sit on their land and do nothing,especially after knowing the resources underneath? Time is ticking for Sundance...after few years now,they must get that production going immediately! or risk of losing that permit! we've seen cases of where the several african governments revoked the mining license,taking over anything they want in the interest of the so called "public" or "nationalisation" (Collum Coal, Anglo American and so on)
We got to be realistic, why would anyone want to invest in Sundance? The market value Sundance at over $300 million today. Whereas Core mining (a private company) located few meters away from Sundance is not even valued close to $100 million and they have 2 times more resources than SDL...thats the reason why Glencore already commited into Core mining. source (http://www.coremining.com)
