There is definitely room for something with the AFL:
Firstly because their live streaming app will not stream to televisions. Only tablets or smartphones (mirroring via apple TV, Chromecast etc will not work). This is because of the digital broadcasting rights. So surely there is an opportunity there.
Secondly, I have the app and there are currently no ads.. TV2U will be able to profile the millions of subscribers and 'push' targeted advertising directly and individually to them. Companies pay humongous amounts of money to specifically target their audience. Huge.
Thirdly, it has been the AFL's intention to broadcast live games to China since 2010. I'm not sure on the progress of that but once again, TV2U have the technology and connections to give the AFL huge coverage. Why stop at China? TV2U have done deals in Indonesia and South Korea. Huge markets that would greatly appeal to the AFL or any sporting code wanting more exposure.
I think the next few announcements might shake things up a bit![]()
