The world was afar different place in the 1800s Dazza. Nobody but the greedy really needed anybody else. Imperialism and colonialism emerged out of a gluttonous, avaricious womb. Things are now more interwoven and complex. A country doesn't have the indulgence to stay poor or rich. It just gets taken along the great financial tzunamis -which might last only a short while but could also go on indefinitely.
