Who gives stuff what the chinese & others are putting in the chooks so long as we can buy chicken products cheaper than the aussie producers can sell it, makes sense to me to me, totally throw open the trade barriers then sit back & wonder why our primary producers are going under at a rate of knots, then add token quarantine to the equation and it all starts to makes sense, (read no one gives a stuff) well done to our pollies you have served us well, we will all be affected by your stupidity and short sighted decisions.
Sorry people we cant have it both ways, we used to have it made, high wages & high cost of living using local produce, now we suddenly want to keep the high wages and lower the cost of living by importing cheap products from overseas, its just not going to happen, we will pay big time for our shortsighted view imho, the threat of bird flu is just one example.
