The thing we need to be wary of is that a lithium battery is based around lithium being a high energy density, light weight metal. A lithium battery is not a lithium battery without it. There are alternatives, but they do not have those unique characteristics.
However, ratios of cobalt and nickle can be adjusted and replaced.
