There is a tinny chance China could use REE to retaliate against US but nowhere does article even imply never mind mention that! We have a clear example a dozen years ago that China's over using REE to change international politics hurts them far more than the targeted countries. That is a lesson I do not think Xi will forget. Yes we need it more now but all the counter measures we used then still work. May take a little longer because of current demand but they will work. Many on this board have either forgotten or think Xi has what happened last time. Have you kept track since then how many Times XI has threatened to use REE but has backed down? A sure sigh he will probably back down is he never says it himself but has someone high up in government imply it. JMO he then carefully judges what is happening then decides what to do,
